April 14 – “Life between Gaza and Israel: From Tragedy to Reconciliation”

Abuelaish“Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, a 53-year-old Palestinian obstetrician and public health expert, has been a unique figure in Israeli-Palestinian relations for many years. Through his work in Israeli and Palestinian hospitals with Israeli and Palestinian patients and colleagues, he speaks out against violence and oppression and, by example, spreads the humanistic values in which he so strongly believes, on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian divide.” Dr. Abuelaish has been nominated for this year’s peace Nobel Prize.
