So what is it? 5 students will be selected, trained, and provided the opportunity to harness their creativity and experience in transforming campus life.
I know, it sounds like a big undertaking – so let me give you a bit more detail. Recognizing that the students at Pitt and CMU are incredibly talented, resourceful, and innovative…we’re looking to bring the best of these qualities together for the benefit of the entire campus.
Hillel will provide training, support, resources, and some particularly exciting opportunities for this group of 5 interns. And then, it’s up to the Peer-Network interns to build relationships with uninvolved Jewish students in order to better know their interests, aspirations, and passions and connect them to opportunities that they will find meaningful and enriching. Each Peer-Network intern is paid a salary. You will also have a personal budget to plan initiatives that reach uninvolved students and advance Jewish values.
What’s in it for Hillel? We’re looking to enrich the lives of as many Jewish students on campus as possible. We’re counting on the 5 Peer-Network interns to build relationships with as many of the students that we don’t currently reach and connect them to experiences they will find enriching. If you would please fill out the attached application and please email it to application@campusinitiative.org.
Interviews must be completed before you leave for the summer, so please send in your application by the end of this week. If you have any questions, please contact Susie Sheldon at susies@hilleljuc.org
